Outline (in English)

The course is designed to help students develop skills to communicate effectively in writing. Students will practice writing over time through their assignments that require planning, drafting, revising and editing.

By the end of the course, students will be able to: 1) write for a clear purpose and to a specific audience, using appropriate word and style choices, 2) understand the planning, outlining and drafting process, 3) integrate sources accurately and effectively, 4) write in the style of an English-language academic essay, 5) read and edit their own and their peers’ essays in order to improve them.
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.

Final grades will be based on class participation (20%), writing assignments (60%) and review tests (20%).
