Outline (in English)

Communication Strategies (2 credits) for【Outline and objectives】
The purpose of this class is to develop the communicative competence necessary for effective participation in society and the world of work. The class aims to help students acquire a broad ability to communicate, starting from familiarity with daily conversation to explaining topics of students’ own interest or field of study, while deepening understanding of foreign cultures necessary for global citizens. Based on a firm foundation of basic skills, the class focuses on the future needs and interests of students as well as the ability to apply English to research and work in a setting of small, leveled classes for maximum effectiveness.

Goal
・To be able to understand daily English conversation.
・To be able to express your own idea of your familiar things.
・To be able to use appropriate word for expression according to the content of the each Unit.


Work to be done outside of classroom
Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc.)
Students will be expected to be self-motivated and do at least two hours of research on their chosen issues.

Grading criteria
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following:Presentation (50%). Quiz (20%). Submission Assignment (20%). Group Discussion(10%)
