Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
Fundamentals of so-called quantum mechanics II and statistical mechanics, both of which are necessary to learn physics. This will help to understand how microscopic physics and macroscopic physics are related to each other.
(Learning Objectives)
The goal of this course is to learn angular momentum, spin, perturbation, and the basics of statistical mechanics.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 80%, in class contribution: 20%
