Outline (in English)
This course provides an introduction to mathematical method for physicists. Various mathematical methods, e.g., differential equations, linear algebra, vector analysis, Fourier transform, special functions and so on, are required to solve the basic equations governing the nature. Solving the equations will enable us to predict and interpret a number of phenomena which appear in laboratories, on the Earth, and in the universe. The purpose of this course is to learn the mathematical methods to apply for the problems of physics.
After each class meeting, students will be expected to spend 4 hours to understand the course content.
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on quiz at each time of the lecture (40%) and the examination at the end of the term (60%).

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
自然現象を記述する物理学の基礎方程式を解くことで、様々な現象を予測および解釈することができる。物理学の基礎方程式を解くには、微分方程式や線形代数、ベクトル解析、フーリエ変換、特殊関数などを理解する必要がある。この授業の目的は、物理学の問題への本格的な適用に向けて、物理学における道具としての数学である物理数学の基礎的な事項を習得することである。

物理数学の基本的な概念や手法を習得し、物理学における基本的な解法や式変形ができるようになる。

簡単な前提知識の確認。テイラー展開等。

行列、行列式、余因子行列、様々な行列のタイプ。

固有値、固有値方程式、行列の対角化。
第4回[対面/face to face]：常微分方程式1
線形、非線形と同次、非同次の定義。一般解と特解。1階の常微分方程式。
第5回[対面/face to face]：微分方程式2
2階の常微分方程式。振動現象への適用。
第6回[対面/face to face]：ベクトル解析
ベクトルの内積と外戚。微分(勾配と発散、回転)について。座標変換。
第7回[対面/face to face]：積分
グリーンの定理。ガウスの発散定理、ストークスの定理。
第8回[対面/face to face]：複素積分1
複素関数。コーシー・リーマンの関係式。コーシーの積分定理・積分公式。
第9回[対面/face to face]：複素積分2
ローラン展開。留数定理。
第10回[対面/face to face]：フーリエ解析1
フーリエ級数およびフーリエ変換についての概説。
第11回[対面/face to face]：フーリエ解析2
フーリエ変換とフーリエ逆変換。ラプラス変換。
第12回[対面/face to face]：偏微分方程式
偏微分方程式の分類。双極型、放物型、楕円型の偏微分方程式。
第13回[対面/face to face]：特殊関数1
ベッセル関数およびルジャンドル多項式。
第14回[対面/face to face]：特殊関数2
エルミート多項式および球面調和関数。
