Outline (in English)

This course serves as an introduction to magnetism and magnetic materials. The initial 8 lectures are dedicated to the fundamental of magnetism, encompassing classical magnetic field theory, magnetic materials, and the basics of electromagnetic modeling and simulation. The principle of applications will be elucidated in lectures nine through thirteen, accompanied by examples. These applications include the utilization of magnetic theory and materials in electrical and electronic engineering, the application of soft/hard magnetic materials, sensing and measurement, as well as magnetic recording. The content of this course is designed to engage undergraduate students in the electrical/electronic department.
