Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The aim of this course is to help students acquire knowledge of meteorological theory which will enable them to make intelligent decisions when confronted with various weather phenomena and hazards, as well as interpreting and using various weather products for flight planning.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-analyze the availability and usage of aviation weather resources, both in the forecasting arena and also the various sources and products that are available to the pilot in order to conduct safe flight operations.
-recognize weather conditions that are possibly hazardous to flight operations and understand how the pilot can best deal with these situations.
-be preparing to pass the Civil Aviation Bureau, CAB, commercial pilot license and Instrument rating written exam.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 80%、Short reports : 20%
