Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The aim of this course is to help students acquire fundamentals of aviation meteorology as it applies to aviation operations and flight safety.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course, students should be able to do the followings:
-understand the physical properties of the atmosphere and how they affect the weather, with an emphasis on the factors affecting aviation.
-understand the weather information systems that are available to the pilot.
-be preparing to pass the Civil Aviation Bureau, CAB, private pilot license written exam.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 80%、Short reports : 20%
