Outline (in English)

This seminar help students improve their output performance in English through using English for intercultural communication and acquire intercultural communicative competence.
The course takers will become able:
・To understand what cross cultural communication is
・To use English for better understanding another culture
・To practice cooperative actions with people from different cultural backgrounds
・To give presentation and discussion in English fluently
・To attend the fields operated in English such as international volunteer activities and internship
・To acquire CEFR B2 level English skills

Outside the class activitites
・Attend online sub-seminar meeting once a week.
・Keep learning English on one'd own pace and record the points and upload the evidence into Google Drive, following POint System English SElf-access Study[POSSES].
・Finalize presentation slides one week before the date of presentation. Use Zoom or meet face to face to prepare and practice presentation
・Attend every event hosted by the seminar managers
・Two hours of study time is expected before and after every class

Evaluation criteria
1.40% Presentation(preparation, performance), assignment submission including Hoppii system, participation in discussion, role-play, questioning, and BBS posting)
2.30% Pre-class assignment (textbook exercises, worksheets, voice recordings, BBS composition)questioning, and BBS posting)
3.30% Point system English Self-access learning, Frequency of attending online conversation sessions (DMM & Sub-semi Zoom) In the case of low performance in this category, no credit will be provided.

In case a student were given C grade, the student is not accepted in the seminar next academic year.
