Outline (in English)

【Course outline and Learning Objectives】This course covers the establishment of the Qin and Han Empires. Based on research results derived from archaeological data, investigates and reflects upon the development and evolution of ancient Chinese society.
【Learning Objectives】
By the end of the course,students should be able to do the followings:
①Understand the process of the formation of Chinese civilization.
②Understand the process and significance of the formation of the Qin and Han Empires.
③Learn methods of analysis using archaeological data.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before after each class meeting,students will be expected to spend 4 hours to understand the course content
【Grading Criteria/Policies】
Final grade will be calculated according to the following process Mid-term report 30 % , and Exam 70%.
