Outline (in English)

Outline and objectives: This course introduces an understanding of Chinese History by reading of Old Chinese Literature The aim of this course is to help students acquire reading Chinese Literature and history.
Learning Objectives: The goals of this course are to read old Chinese texts, to learn the knowledge and usage of various tools required for reading and to search for archaeological materials, related papers and other materials.

Learning activities outside of classroom: Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
Grading Criteria/Policies: Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on assignments at each class meeting (50%) and term-end examination or report (50%).
