Outline (in English)

Familiarizing yourself with English paragraph/essay structure and mechanics and putting language knowledge and writing experience to work more effectively.
<Learning Objectives>
Through understanding each model paragraph/essay,
・You will be able to recognize and identify key structures
・You will learn how to gather ideas and organize them into groups (outlining)
・You will get used to editing and improving your writing
・You will be able to apply the structures to your own writing and produce formal/academic writing
<Learning activities outside of classroom>
At each class, you are expected to have read and completed the exercises of the relevant section from the text. Your required study time is at least four hours for a class.
<Grading Criteria /Policy>
➀70% by Assessed Work submitted at the end of each unit
②30% by active participation in each class
