Outline (in English)

・Outline and objectives
 Financial statement audit (audit of financial statements) is the act of an auditor expressing an opinion from a professional perspective on the fairness (correctness or otherwise) of the financial statements published by an entity. This lecture covers the entire auditing process. It also emphasizes the latest topics, such as internal control of companies and window dressing cases, and includes case studies.
 This course aims to enable participants to acquire a basic knowledge of the purpose, significance, and content of financial auditing, including assurance engagements, and to deepen their understanding of the importance of the role of auditing.
・Learning activities outside of classroom
As preparatory learning, students may be asked to watch a video. Review is compulsory.
Students are required to submit reports (at least once).
In addition, at the beginning of each session, a handout is used to review the previous session. The students will be nominated and asked to answer the questions, so the students should review the previous lesson so that they can answer the questions.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
・Grading Criteria /Policy
The following distribution of grades will be given.
-Report: 20%.
-Final exam: 80%.
