Outline (in English)

【Course outline】 This course is intended that students acquire the knowledge about the theme that an individual faces at each life stage, the understanding about the resource included the social system. Conventionally, the life has been caught by the word "life cycle", but the life is unique individually, and the same pattern is not repeated. Students will be able to understand the background where "life course" came to attract attention of and understand the basics about the concept of " life course". In addition, they will learn about the way of a viewpoint and the interpretation of various data about life course.
【Learning Objectives】 The goal of this course is to understand the diversity of career patterns that arise in the interaction between individuals and society, and to examine individual lifestyles and social systems.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】 Before/after each class, students will be expected to spend 2 hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】 Final grade will be calculated according to the following process
Term-end examination (60%) and in-class contribution(40%)
