Outline (in English)

This is a seminar course, which is designed to learn basic knowledge of ethnographic research methods and writing. The main goal of this seminar is to help students to develop necessary skills for research design, ethnographic fieldwork, and academic writing.

Students will be expected to proactively participate in class and to prepare for and review classwork daily. An expected weekly study time for this seminar is four hours on average. A final grade will be based on class participation (20%), weekly commentaries (20%), presentation (20%), and research paper (40%).
