Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This seminar will focus on the theme of "Business and Human Rights," which has been attracting attention in the context of corporate social responsibility (CSR) and sustainability management in recent years. We will learn about responsible corporate management from a variety of perspectives related to "people," including social issues such as child labor in the supply chain, and corporate management issues such as diversity management and the realization of decent work.

【Learning Objectives】
Students will deepen their knowledge of "Business and Human Rights" and "Labor CSR" and acquire the ability to consider the relationship between " business" and "people" from the perspective of Responsible Business Conduct.

In addition, through group work, individual presentations, and the writing of a thesis, students will develop communication and presentation skills, problem-solving skills, and logical thinking skills, and acquire a foundation of academic skills.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are expected to research the topics to be discussed in the seminar in advance and prepare to express their own opinions during the discussion.

In addition, students are required to prepare for group and individual presentations outside of class. Make sure to prepare resumes and other materials for your group and individual presentations.

Students are expected to decide on their own areas of interest and conduct research independently.

The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
