Outline (in English)

Environmental Anthropology III is an advanced seminar/lecture course requiring a basic knowledge of cultural anthropology. The main focus of this year is disasters. Beginning with a question on what a disaster is, we will explore how disasters affect human and nonhuman lives and how they live with disasters. Students are expected to actively participate in class discussions and group projects. A final grade will be based on reading commentaries (20%), presentation (20%), group project (20%), class participation (20%), and paper (20%).
