Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The invasion of Ukraine by Russia, which commenced in February 2022, has profoundly shaken the international order, bringing the reality of inter-nation warfare back into focus. Additionally, the ongoing conflict between Israel and Palestine since October 2023 has further complicated global dynamics. Amidst incessant reports of refugees seeking sanctuary, civil unrest, frequent terrorist attacks, and widespread infectious disease outbreaks, accurate comprehension and analysis of these events are imperative for addressing transnational challenges. This course aims to explore approaches to these issues through the lens of peace studies, fostering a proactive mindset among students towards the myriad problems confronting the international community.

Before and after each class, students will be expected to actively gather information related to the class and comprehend it well.
【Grading Criteria】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 50%, Short reports:30%, Reaction Paper: 20%
