Outline (in English)
Students learn the actual process of making books, centering on methods of magazine composition by DTP (Desk Top Publishing) using computers that are standard in the publishing industry.
The goal is to acquire the basic skills necessary for editing practice, and to acquire the basic operation methods of Adobe Photoshop used for editing tool images, and Adobe Illustrator used for producing printed materials such as posters and logo marks. Since Adobe InDesign is used for editing pages, it is desirable to take this course together with "Editing Practice B" that deals with InDesign.
I will give instructions in class. The standard preparatory study and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Evaluation is based on: class performance (30%); short assignments and term-end assignment (70%).

出版業界で標準となっているコンピュータを用いたDTP（Desk Top Publishing）による誌面構成の方法を中心に、本作りの実際を学ぶ
到達目標Goal
編集実務に必要な基礎技術の習得を目標とし、具画像編集に使用するAdobe Photoshop、ポスターなどの印刷物やロゴマークなどの制作に使用するAdobe Illustratorの基本的な操作方法の取得を目的とします。なお、ページものの編集にはAdobe InDesignを使用するので、InDesignをあつかう「編集実務B」と併せて受講することが望ましい。

【授業内容】
書籍，雑誌の誌面デザインに必要な各種アプリケーションの操作方法を学び，対面授業が可能であれば実際にパソコンを使って誌面デザインを行います。オンラインの場合は操作方法についてのデモンストレーションを行います。数回の小課題の作成とプレゼン，期末課題には小冊子の作成を予定しています。

【授業方法】
アプリケーションの操作方法などを講義。その後は各自で課題を作成し，プレゼンを行ってもらいます。
※課題等の提出・フィードバックは「学習支援システム」を通じて行います。
[Course content]

[Class method]
First there is a lecture on how to operate the application. After that, each student will create an assignment and be asked to give a presentation.

Photoshopを用いた画像の切り抜きと合成について説明を行います
第4回[対面/face to face]：写真のレタッチ
Photoshopを用いた写真のレタッチについて説明を行います
第5回[対面/face to face]：クリッピングマスク（選択範囲の作成）
Photoshopを用いてアートワークをマスクする方法について（選択範囲を作成する方法）説明を行います
第6回[対面/face to face]：クリッピングマスク（クリッピングパスの作成）
Photoshopを用いてアートワークをマスクする方法について（クリッピングパスを実際に作成する）説明を行います
第7回[対面/face to face]：IllustratorやInDesignとの連携
Photoshopで作成したビットマップ画像を、IllustratorやInDesignといったベクター画像を扱うアプリケーションで使用する方法について説明を行います
第8回[オンライン/online]：Adobe Photoshopまとめの課題
ここまで説明したことをふまえて小課題に取り組んでもらいます

長方形ツールと楕円形ツールを用いて基本的なオブジェクトの作成方法について説明を行います
第10回[対面/face to face]：オブジェクトの塗りと線の設定
Illustratorでの描画の基本となるオブジェクトの塗りと線の設定方法について説明を行います
第11回[対面/face to face]：選択ツールとダイレクト選択ツール
Illustratorの基本操作の要となる選択ツールとダイレクト選択ツールについて説明を行います
第12回[対面/face to face]：文字の入力
テキストツールを用いた文字の入力方法について説明を行います
第13回[対面/face to face]：Photoshopとの連携
Illustratorで作成したオブジェクトをPhotoshopで使用する方法について説明を行います
第14回[オンライン/online]：Adobe Illustratorまとめの課題
ここまで説明したことをふまえて小課題に取り組んでもらいます

※授業の性質上，自分の手で実際に演習してみることが重要になります。授業時間内・外に関わらず演習に時間を惜しまないでください。また気になった書籍や雑誌を見つけたら，その本の「どこ」が気になるのか，「何」に惹かれるのか，意識して見るようにしてください。 コンピュータの数に限りがあるため、30名限定とします。受講希望者が多い場合は1回目の授業時に選抜を行います。
※InDesignを扱う編集実務Bを併せて履修することがのぞましい。
※「情報科学実習1・2（ fコース中のDTP入門編)を事前に履修しておくとよりいい。
・Due to the nature of the lesson, it is important to actually practice with your own hands. Please do not spare time for the exercises, whether during or outside class. Also, if you find a book or magazine that interests you, be aware of what you are interested in and what you are attracted to. Due to the limited number of computers, we will limit the class to 30 people. If there are many applicants, selection will be made at the time of the first class.
・It is recommended that you also take Editing Practice B, which deals with InDesign.
・It is better to take "Information Science Practical Training 1 and 2 (Introduction to DTP in f course)" in advance.
