Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
This course aims to equip students with the fundamental attitudes and abilities needed to succeed in university studies. Specifically, students will learn how to comprehend philosophical texts and interpret them from their viewpoints, develop materials and present them effectively in class discussions, and write reports.
【Learning Objectives】
This course aims to help students become familiar with philosophical concepts, develop logical thinking skills, engage in useful discussions, and learn the basics of writing a philosophy report.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before each class meeting, it is expected that students will have read the pertinent chapter from the textbook. The individual in charge will create a summary of the chapter after reading it carefully. To prepare a report, you should review materials and resumes on a topic that interests you. You are required to dedicate at least four hours to studying for a class.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end report: 40%, Contents of presentation as person in charge: 30%, in-class contribution: 30%
