Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
This course deals with "human altruism" in the perspective of evolutionary phychology. The main content of this class is to examine why humans have the propensity to "care for others.
(Learning Objectives)
The goals of this course are to understand the characteristics of human altruism and human nature. At the end of the course, students are expected to form their own opinions about human nature, relying on the findings of human science.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content including wrighting short essays on the content of each class.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Final Grade will be decided based on assigned essays, presentations at seminars (80% each in charge of either) and contribution in class discussion (20%).
