Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Letters requires a graduation thesis. It is the culmination of four years of academic work.

(Learning objectives)
The educational objectives of the department aim to cultivate (1) demonstrative logical construction abilities and (2) foster critical thinking skills, enabling students to create graduation theses that satisfy these criteria. Futhermore, students will be able to delve deeply into research within their specialized field and actively engage in the task of conveying the results of intellectual inquiries to others through written work and data.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Students will performe tasks according to the guidance of their supervisor. These tasks encompass activities such as experiments, analysis, preparation for presentations, and the writing of graduation theses.

(Grading criteria / Policy)
The Department of Psychology, Faculty of Letters evaluates the graduation thesis based on the following 10 criteria and the responses to questioning during the interview examination (presentation). The overall grading includes S, A+, A, A-, B+, B, B-, C+, C, C-, D, and E determinations.

(1) Appropriateness of the title
(2) Appropriateness of the research question
(3) Appropriateness of the research methods
(4) Appropriateness of the data analysis method
(5) Completeness of figure and table representation
(6) Examination of literature in the discussion and its correspondence to the research question
(7) Originality of the paper
(8) Logical and clear overall structure
(9) Clarity and readability of writing expression, appropriateness of paragraph structure
(10) Absence of typos, misspellings, and inconsistency in expression
