Outline (in English)

This class is an introduction of the Japanese linguistics, which especially treats some grammatical topics. Students are expected to approach mechanisms hidden in our ordinary use of Japanese.
Because some ideas of Japanese linguistics, cognitive linguistics and pragmatism are introduced through the task, students can learn some basic ideas in these fields.

Goal:(1) Deepen understanding of Japanese grammar (2)Learn some basic concpets and theoryies in the field of the Japanese linguistics
Work to be done outside of class (preparation, etc. : one hour
Grading criteria : Participation (50%), Final report (50%)
