Outline (in English)

In this lecture, we will learn specific methods of information dissemination through the Internet by utilizing programming.

Countries and local governments are increasingly using websites to disseminate various information, and there is a growing trend to publish information in reusable formats (such as CSV or Excel) as "open data." Journalists are required to efficiently collect and analyze this information.

In the lecture, we will actively learn the methods of collecting open data through hands-on activities. Additionally, we will study web applications, which are currently the most representative means of information dissemination on the Internet. Through programming, participants will develop their own web applications and gain experience in deploying data. Simultaneously, we will explore the basics of information security by experiencing aspects such as how data, including personal information, might unintentionally leak through one's own web application.

In an era where disseminating information through the Internet has become commonplace, it is essential for modern professionals, including journalists, to understand the basics of internet communication, programming necessary for automation, and information security. In the age where administrations, businesses, and individuals communicate information through the internet, the goal of this course is to enable individuals to collect information in accordance with these developments.

Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.

Final grade will be calculated according to the following process understanding of the application development(100%).
