Outline (in English)

 This course reviews the history of adult education movements, especially international ones, and has two focuses. One is on the relation between domestic movements and international ones. The other focus is on the relation between adult education policies and adult education movements both domestic level and international one. Recognizing complex structure of these relations, we will seek to find out the challenges of adult education movements.
At the end of the course, students are expected to understand the personality of adult education movement for social movements and look at challenges of adult education movements.
Students are required to be active in each class discussion. The standard preparation and review time for each class is 2 hours each.
Grading is according to the total evaluation of the final report with the discussion of final class (70%) and class contribution (30%).
