Outline (in English)

This course provides an overview of cell technologies used in the field of cell biology, such as DNA introduction into cells, GFP-tagging of proteins, cell fusion, and cell manipulation. To understand the principles of these technologies, the course will cover topics of structures and functions of biomembrane and cytoskeleton. Students are expected to spend 4 hours outside of class time for preparation and review. After the lecture, students are expected to review the lecture materials and notes, read reference books, etc. A list of answers to questions about the lecture will be uploaded to Hoppii within a few days. Carefully read the questions and answers given by other students to deepen your understanding. The evaluation will be based on 10% of the assignments submitted for each class, 40% for the mid-term examination, and 50% for the final examination.
