Outline (in English)
Students will recognize the importance of controlling plant diseases and learn what methods are used to control plant diseases. They will also learn the characteristics of various control techniques and the formulation of control measures based on the life cycle of plant disease pathogens and pests, as well as the development of control technologies for social needs.
It is important to know the types and characteristics of plant disease control techniques and to propose control methods that meet the needs of farmers based on the life cycle of plant disease pathogens. In this course, cases of plant diseases that have occurred in agricultural production will be introduced and key points for the introduction of control measures will be explained. Students can learn what kind of control measures are effective, based on the life cycle of plant disease.
Grades will be based on the final exam (50%), assignments and reports (30%), and regular marks (20%).

植物病を防除することの重要性を認識し、どのような手法で植物病が防除できるのかを知る。また、様々な防除技術の特徴や、植物病の病原菌や害虫の発生生態に基づいた防除対策の策定および社会的ニーズに基づいた防除技術開発とその実例を学ぶ。
到達目標Goal
植物病の防除技術の種類と特徴を知り、植物病の発生生態を踏まえて、農業生産者のニーズを満たした防除方法を提案できる。また、植物病の防除技術開発に携わることのできるの基礎的な知識を習得している。

生産現場で実際に発生した植物病の事例を紹介し、防除対策導入のポイントを解説する。その際に、これまでの研究成果などから推察される植物病の発生生態を踏まえ、どのような防除対策が有効かを考察する。授業を復習する課題・レポートの提出は「学習支援システム」を通して行い、質問などの回答やフィードバックは授業内で共有する。
