Outline (in English)

[Course outline] Microbe are major group in living organism on the earth. This course introduces you to the research findings and experiments, representing the discovery of diverse microbes, the molecular function of genetic and physiological mechanisms in microbes, and the structure and function of microbial genomes.

[Learning Objectives] The goals is to understand molecular mechanism of genetic and physiological functions in bacteria, archaea, fungi.

[Learning activities outside of classroom] Students will be expected to have completed the short examinations after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.

[Grading criteria] Final grade will be calculated with in-class contribution (65%) and term-end examination (35%).
