Outline (in English)

The aim of this lecture is to understand basic structural features of the cell, a smallest unit of any organisms, with much emphasis on structures and functions of biomembrane and cytoskeleton.
Review and deepen understanding of the material covered in class through handouts, standard textbooks, quizzes, etc.
The evaluation will be based on the mid-term exam (20%) and the final exam (70%), with a 10% regular grade added.
The evaluation criteria are: 1) The student's understanding of the structure and function of cells, especially the biological membrane and cytoskeleton. 2) The student's ability to apply this knowledge to the interpretation of specific cases. 3) The student's ability to actively investigate and discuss unfamiliar points on his/her own.
