Outline (in English)

【Outline】
Living organisms are aggregates of vast numbers of chemical reactions. In this course, students will understand the mechanisms that make living organisms possible as chemical reactions at the molecular level and chemical reaction circuits at the cellular level, and deepen their understanding of living organisms.

【Objectives】
To understand the material origin of life and the mechanisms by which higher life functions are expressed through the structure and function of the molecules that constitute life at the cellular, tissue, organ, and individual levels.

【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Preparation and review for this class should take about several hours. Read the handouts and class notes carefully to fully understand the content. It is recommended to read to deepen your understanding.

【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Basically, the evaluation is done by the examination at the end of the term. The evaluation method is subject to change depending on the status of the class.
