Outline (in English)

Instrumental analysis is a part of analytical chemistry and involves the use of analytical instruments to determine the state and concentration of chemical species and elements in a sample. The main objective of this course is to understand the fundamentals of gas chromatography, liquid chromatography, mass spectrometry, reaction kinetics, and enzymatic reactions. At the end of this course, students are expected to be able to understand and explain them. Before each class meeting, students will be expected to have read the relevant PDF document. Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following: mid-term examination: 30%, term-end examination: 40%, and in class contribution: 30%.
