Outline (in English)

[Course outline] This lecture shows the overall picture of data utilization related to "Information and Communication Technology". Students comprehensively learn "data collection by IoT", "data accumulation by cloud service", and "data analysis by programming and AI".


[Learning Objectives] The purpose of this course is to understand the overview of IoT and cloud services along with case studies, and to comprehend the basic techniques of data analysis using RESAS and Excel.


[Learning activities outside of classroom] The "Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications ICT Skills Comprehensive Acquisition Program," which forms the basis of the course materials, is no longer available on the Ministry's website. However, students can grasp the outline of the materials and prepare for the course through web archives such as the National Diet Library's WARP. (Short link: https://lead.to/soict) The standard time allocated for preparation and review for this course is 2 hours each.


[Grading Criteria/Policy] An exam will be conducted during the 12th session of the final day to assess understanding, and grades will be evaluated based on this exam. Additionally, participation in the class may also be reflected in the grade as attendance points. (1) Understanding assessment exam: 90–100% (2) attendance points: 0–10%
