Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
The course will cover the most basic and important general parts of international law and the basic principles of international economic law.
【Learning Objectives】
The student should be able to understand the basic concepts and frameworks of international law and international economic law, as well as their functions and limitations.
In addition, the student should be able to examine various issues in contemporary international society and international disputes concerning Japan based on international law.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to read the textbook (Tamada, Mizushima, and Yamada, "International Law (2nd Edition)", Chapters 1-5 and Chapter 12 in advance.
Although it is acceptable to skim through the textbook, it is extremely important to have an overall picture of the course through preparatory study in order to be prepared for the intensive, short-term schooling classes.
Materials to be used in the lecture will be distributed in advance via the academic support system, so please read through them before the class.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
