Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Econometrics is a field of study that uses statistical methods based on economic theory to measure relationships between economic variables. Estimation also makes it possible to measure policy effects and make forecasts. This course focuses on developing the ability to use regression analysis as an empirical analysis tool, particularly emphasizing the basics of estimation within the analytical techniques of econometrics.
【Learning Objectives】
The goal of this course is to acquire the basic skills necessary for empirical analysis, including collecting statistical data, estimating regression models, and testing hypotheses.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content.
【Grading Criteria/Policy】
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 80%、Short reports : 10%、in class contribution: 10%
