Outline (in English)

At the end of this course, participants will learn the reality, problems and future prospects by looking directly at the structural change of labor relations relations.
It is expected that the students taking this course will have a variety of knowledge and interests in industrial relations, labor unions, and labor law. However, there is no doubt that many of our students will live in the world of employment in the future. Furthermore, I believe there is a common understanding, to a greater or lesser extent, that the employment system and labor-management relations in Japan are undergoing changes from the traditional mechanisms. Therefore, in this lecture, we will understand the labor relations and labor law mechanisms that have been formed in the "Japanese employment system," and we will also discuss what issues they face and how they need to change in the future. I would like you to find your own answer to the question of whether there is (or whether it should not change).
Basically, you are required to carefully review the lecture content and try to solidify your understanding.
However, labor-management relations, labor laws, and related legal systems and legal policies exist in many ways in real society, and many movements are currently underway. Therefore, I would like you to keep your ears open and check out not only labor-management relations and labor laws, but also various labor-related phenomena through newspapers and news.
The standard preparation and review time for this class is 2 hours each.
Final grades are basically evaluated by a credit exam. (However, be sure to study the reports as well.) Review the lectures thoroughly, understand the system surrounding labor-management relations, and then consider the topic.
