Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The objective of this course is to acquire basic knowledge, conduct surveys and study themes related to the student’s major field of study in civil and environmental engineering.
(Learning Objectives)
Through reading domestic and foreign literature related to their specialty, site visits, discussions, surveys, and research on specific themes, students can aware and understand the issues relating the themes of their field of specialization and acquire basic problem-solving skills. The goal is to acquire the knowledge and skills necessary to advance research related to the master's thesis.
(Learning activities outside of classroom)
Weekly class review and a wide range of self-development continuing learning, from basic knowledge on specific topics to research-level assignments. The standard time for preparation and review for this class is 1 hour in total.
(Grading Criteria /Policy)
Evaluate mainly by self-development daily learning efforts outside class hours. Students who are absent 4 or more times or who do not submit their submissions will not be allowed to acquire credits (evaluation D). Evaluate comprehensively based on the status of research efforts and research reports. Implementation records: 80%, research reports: 20%. However, applicants who have engaged in research for less than 90 hours will be disqualified.
