Outline (in English)

(Course outline)
The aim of this course is to learn about the historical development and basic concepts of life cycle engineering and total cost evaluation of concrete structures. Students will also learn about the durability of concrete, which is the basis for life cycle evaluation of concrete structures, and the maintenance and management of concrete.

(Learning objectives)
The objective is to understand the concept of identifying the causes of cracking, a factor that has a significant impact on the durability of concrete.

(Learning activities outside of classroom)
The objective is to visit social implementation sites of research and see and feel the differences from university laboratories.

(Grading criteria / policy)
Score the correctness of the report to confirm understanding of the class. The number of times the student attends the class is also scored. In addition, the answers to questions asked during the class will be taken into account in the evaluation score as the level of understanding of the class.
