Outline (in English)

This course provides an overview of nonlinear finite element methods and various element models that are increasingly being used in the design of reinforced concrete structures, as well as their applications.
The goals of this course are to provide students with an understanding of (1) basic theories of nonlinear finite element methods, (2) material nonlinear constitutive laws for steel and concrete, and (3) basic theories for moisture transfer analysis, heat transfer analysis, and volume change analysis associated with moisture and heat transfer.
The standard preparation and review time for this course is 2 hours
each.
Grading will be based on each exercise (60%) and a final report (equivalent to a final exam) (40%).
