Outline (in English)

[Course outline]
This course is designed to uncover the individuality and potentiality of the region through field surveys, explore its problems, and derive answers to revitalization from the historical, urban, and architectural perspectives.

[Learning Objectives]
Students will discover their own sub-themes within the framework of commonly given prerequisites, and aim to have the ability to summarize them as concrete planning proposals.
The course also requires students to acquire basic knowledge and basic techniques of practical design as an on-campus internship course.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
The graduate school design studio is held three times a week in principle, but receiving instruction in the studio is only a part of the design process. In the case of the graduate studio, students are especially required to learn how to express themselves, so work outside of class is more important than in-class time. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 4 hours each.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
The final presentation will be evaluated comprehensively based on the results of the final presentation, which will be based on the esquisse and the midterm presentation. (100%)
Students who are absent without permission more than twice will not be graded.
