Outline (in English)

[Outline]
Using urban facilities as the subject matter, we will examine the "relationship between the outside and the inside" and the "front and back" of urban spaces from the viewpoint of sustainable design, seeking feasibility and rationality in terms of function, structure, and energy, collecting objective data to support the design, and conducting on-site surveys.

[Learning Objectives]
Within the framework of commonly given prerequisites, each student will find a unique sub-topic, and aim to have the ability to summarize it as a concrete plan proposal.
As an on-campus internship course, students are required to acquire basic knowledge and basic techniques of practical design.

[Learning activities outside of classroom]
In principle, graduate school design studios meet three times a week, but receiving instruction in the studio is only part of the design act. In the case of the graduate studio, especially since the question is how to acquire self-expression, work outside of class is more indispensable than in class time. The standard preparation and review time for this class is 4 hours each.

[Grading Criteria /Policy]
Comprehensive evaluation of the final presentation artwork based on the esquisse and interim presentation. (100%)
Students who are absent without permission more than twice will not be graded.
