Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
Students will experience the way to develop industrial design through a process that is consistent with actual practice.
Students understand how industrial product is manufactured, and think an original design idea and create a prototype. Students will learn how to evaluate usability and value of the design through prototypes and improve the level of perfection as a product.
【Learning Objectives】
Through the experience of the course, students will learn the practical skill and knowledge of industrial design stated as followings:
- The practical methods, skill and knowledge of industrial design.
- The way to develop from concepts ideas to prototyping, and evaluate value with prototype.
- The knowledge of industrial manufacturing process and the way to translate to product ideas.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to develop their work as homework outside of class time.
The standard preparation time for this class is approximately three hours, however it is depended on the commitment.
【Grading Criteria /Policy】
Presented Work (70%), Documents submitted (15%), attendance (15%)
