Outline (in English)

【Course outline】
 Students learn the basic concepts of product design through exercises and develop the ability to propose fresh ideas and create original designs.
 Students learn the importance of prototyping and verification in the creative process and acquire practical methods and techniques.
【Learning Objectives】
The aim is to acquire basic practical and creative skills in manufacturing and design.
 Students learn how to pursue highly original design by looking at and understanding all aspects of society and culture and considering what truly comfortable design is.
 Students gain an understanding of the elements necessary for product design, such as form, color, function, ergonomics, and cognitive psychology, through practical training.
 Learn how to propose designs from a social perspective through methods such as observation, experimentation, data collection, and analysis.
 Cultivate the ability to propose and develop designs from a fundamental level through experiments and verification of prototypes using various materials and processing methods.
【Learning activities outside of classroom】
Students are required to develop their work as homework outside of class time.
The standard preparation time for this class is approximately 3 hours, however it is depended on the commitment.

Presented Work (70%), Documents submitted (15%), attendance (15%)
