日本経済論B/IIでは、日本経済の基本的な知識と英語を同時に学ぶことを目的とする。特に、経済学におけるキーコンセプト、日本経済の歴史、日本経済と政治・企業・金融の関係性、日本経済と世界経済の関連性などについて、比較的平易な英単語・文法を用いて学習する。

基礎的な英単語・文法で書かれた日本経済に関する文章を講読することにより、日本経済や世界経済に関する英字新聞を読みこなすための知識を習得することを目的とする。

【Learning Objectives】
Students are expected to acquire sufficient knowledge (by learning basic English sentences on the Japanese economy) to be able to read English newspapers on the Japanese economy and the world economy.

「内容言語統合型学習」（クリル）メソッドを援用し、日本経済の基礎的な知識と英語を同時に学習する。アクティブ・ラーニングの一環として、文法の理解や発音の練習をする機会を設ける。

【Methods】
By applying the "content and language integrated learning" (CLIL) method, this course provides students with basic knowledge of the Japanese economy and English at the same time. As part of "active learning" method, students will have an opportunity to understand grammar and practice pronunciation in class.

【Work To Be Done Outside of Class】
Before each lecture, students will be expected to review the relevant lecture topic and complete recommended readings. Study time for each lecture is approximately two-hours.

【Grading Criteria】
Grading will be decided based on your attendance (12%) and term paper (88%). The term paper will be examined based on criteria, such as the structure of the report, relevance to the course, evidence of research, and keeping within word limits (around 2,000 words including references).
