Outline (in English)

In this course, students will learn about the meaning and functions of welfare (policies, systems, practices) in society.
Specifically, the course outlines Japan's welfare policy and related policies, and aims to provide a basic understanding of the current state of welfare policy in Japan. At the same time, we will examine the various challenges that welfare policy faces in contemporary society, introduce new policy concepts that have been considered in recent years to overcome these challenges, and explain their implications.
