Outline (in English)
In this lecture, students will learn "why a basic theory of economics is necessary" by considering the modern economy historically and theoretically. Economics is not a "theory" for the sake of theory, but a theory for critically analyzing and thinking deeply about the real economy. In Socioeconomics A/I, we will study the historical conditions, basic characteristics, and basic concepts of capitalism based on Marxian economics.
[Learning objects] 1. To understand the basic structure of the capitalist economy historically and theoretically. 2. Acquire the basic theories necessary to clarify various problems of modern capitalism learned in specialized economics subjects.

Read the text in preparation before class. After class, review the content and complete the assignment.
[Grading Criteria /Policy] Evaluation is based on 30% of normal scores (reaction papers or quizzes) and 70% of final reports or confirmation exams.

授業の概要と目的（何を学ぶか）Outline and objectives
本講義では、現代経済を歴史的・理論的に考察することによって「なぜ経済学の基礎理論が必要なのか」について学ぶ。経済学は理論のための「理論」ではなく、現実の経済を批判的に分析し、深く思考するための理論である。社会経済学A/Ⅰでは、基本的にマルクス経済学にもとづきながら、資本主義が発生した歴史的条件、基本的性格そして基礎概念について学ぶことにする。
到達目標Goal
1．資本主義経済の基本的仕組みを歴史的・理論的に理解すること。
2．経済学の専門諸科目で学ぶ現代資本主義の諸問題の解明に必要な基礎理論を習得すること。
