Outline (in English)
Course Outline: This course introduces the history of literature and performing arts in the medieval and early modern periods.
Learning Objectives: The goals of this course are to acquire an overview of classical literature and the classical performing arts.
Learning Activities Outside of the Classroom: Students will be expected to use this class as an opportunity to expand their own interests. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
Grading Criteria/Policy: Grading will be decided based on term-end examination (80%), and in class contribution (20%).

◆秋学期は中世（院政期〜室町時代）と近世（安土桃山時代〜江戸時代）の文学史・芸能史を学ぶ。
◆芸能史の展開を辿りながら、主要な文学作品についても解説していく。

◆古典文学・古典芸能の特色・表現を知る。
◆古典文学・古典芸能の歴史的展開を知り、日本文化の大枠を把握する。

本授業の準備学習・復習時間は、各２時間を標準とする。中世・近世の文芸は１２回で収まりきれないほどの多様性がある。授業で紹介する参考文献をもとに、自身で興味を広げる研究をしてほしい。
