Outline (in English)

Philosophy is a human intellectual activity that seeks solutions to problems by elucidating their principles. In the summer schooling, we will take up themes in our daily lives and learn the philosophical way of thinking through group work. In the lectures, we will discuss discrimination, oppression, and violence. Then forgiveness, tolerance, and humanity as solutions to these problems. And we learn about AI and human intelligence, which are pressing issues in modern civilization. These lectures aim at developing the ability to think, discuss
and express oneself on these issues. Please read the textbook and find points you do not understand (2 hours). Review whether your questions find an answer (2 hours). If you have any questions, please write me your questions by email. Grading will lay on a comprehensive evaluation of (1) class effort and group work moderating responsibilities (20%) and (2) final exam results (80%). The evaluation standard will lie in (A) whether you have a correct understanding of Kant’s problem setting, concepts, and methods, and (B) whether the structure and expression of the assignments and reports, in the form of answers to questions, are written in a way that readers can understand.
