Outline (in English)

This course is designed for students without any knowledge of the German language. By developing the four skills of speaking, listening, reading and writing, it aims at equipping the students with basic communicative abilities needed in simple everyday situations. By the end of the course, students should be able to understand and use familiar everyday expressions and very basic phrases.
After each class meeting, students will be expected to review learning content, listen to the native speakers on audio and talk along with them. Your required study time is at least one hour for each class meeting.
Grading will be decided based on usual performance score (60%) and term-end examination (40%).
