Outline (in English)
1. 授業概要（Course outline）
This course is designed to help students prepare for the listening and reading sections of the TOEIC Test, focusing on grammar and comprehension.
2. 到達目標（Learning Objectives）
Students are to acquire basic knowledge of English grammar and to be able to solve reading and listening sections of the TOEIC tests.
3. 授業時間外の学習（Learning activities outside of the classroom）
※Students will be expected to have completed the required assignments after each class meeting. Your study time will be more than four hours for a class.
Preparation and review are essential. The lecturer recommended that students should be familiar with newspaper articles and books that are written in English on a daily basis.
4. 成績評価の方法と基準（Grading Criteria /Policies）
Your overall grade in the class will be decided based on the following
Term-end examination: 45%, Quiz: 35%, In-class contribution: 20%.

文法と読解に焦点をあて、TOEICテストのスコアアップを問題演習を通じて目指す準備講座である。
到達目標Goal
英文法の基本を理解し、リーディング問題とリスニング問題が解けるようになることを目指す。

授業の進め方と方法Method(s)（学期の途中で変更になる場合には、別途提示します。 /If the Method(s) is changed, we will announce the details of any changes. ）
①教科書の指定された範囲の問題を事前に解いておき、講義に臨む。
②講義では教科書の単元に沿って、講義の冒頭でその単元のキーポイントを講師より説明する。
③①の課題を答え合わせをしながら、講師より各問題の解き方を説明する。
④リーディングについては、必要に応じて文法の説明をする。
⑤①の課題は授業終了後に提出する。各受講者の出席確認と理解度チェックに利用し、必要に応じてフォローアップの解説を行う。
※記事の分量、内容、受講者の理解度に応じ時間配分を変更する場合がある。

テキスト・配布資料の予習と復習は不可欠。日常的に英語ニュースや洋書に親しんでおくとなおよい。

参考書References
英和辞書、和英辞書を持参する。講義中のみならず、予習時や復習時にわからない単語があれば、すぐに辞書を引くように習慣づけること。
各回のテーマの参考資料は、適宜紹介する。

1. 期末試験 (45%)
2. 小テスト（35%）
3. 貢献と姿勢 (25%)
なお、全学TOEIC-IPテストが2023年度も実施される場合は、本学で基準となる点数を獲得した学生に対し、成績評価で優遇する。
