Outline (in English)

The means of observation and their results will be reviewed, and the scale, mechanisms, etc. of various phenomena in the galactic universe will be explained. The most important factor in their interpretation is the measurement of the distance to the objects, which is also the astronomical observation itself. Through this understanding, the goal of this course is to understand the nature of stars and galaxies and the structure of the universe. Before/after each class meeting, students will be expected to spend four hours to understand the course content. Final grade will be calculated according to the following process term-end examination (80%) and in-class contribution (20%).
