Outline (in English)

1.Course outline
Various operations for separation in chemical engineering are chosen as teaching materials. Energy conservation technologies are also important parts of this course. Students will learn how to design medical equipment and devices as an example of precision or a scale-down of large chemical engineering processes.

2.Learning Objectives
Students learn basic operations of separation devices in chemical industry and discuss energy conservation technique. Students are able to apply basic separation technology to the bio-systems.

3.Learning activities outside of classroom
Students must solve all the homework problems given in class or through HOPPII system and hand in their papers before due.

4.Grading Criteria /Policy
It depends on the infection situation of COVID-19, i.e.,
a. When we have the final exam: Final exam 50% + Homework 50%
b. When we do not have the final exam: Homework 100%
